Offspring report
Offspring 1999
Sufficiently uniform collection of foals. They are well developed and of sufficient tuig type. They are in good rectangular model and have much refinement and appeal. The head is generally well formed. Once in a while it is a little long. The poll is long. The neck has good length and positioning. Sometimes it is ewe-necked and the transition of the neck to the wither should be smoother. The wither is well developed. The sufficiently long shoulder is well placed. The back is well muscled and generally well formed. The back is sometimes a little weak. The loins are well muscled and connected. The croup is well formed and muscled but should be a little longer. The hamstring is sufficiently long. The foreleg has good length and is generally correct. Sometimes the cannon is delicate and the pastern straight. The hindleg is slightly sickle-hocked. The legs are more than sufficiently developed. The walk is big and has sufficient power. The foals trot with front, allure and a desire to go. The foreleg should have more knee action and the hindleg, which bends well, should be brought under the body more. The foals trot with good balance but the moment of suspension should be longer.
The quality of the mares was generally good.
One foal that was inspected at home fit in with the rest of the picture in regards to conformation. Movement could not be judged because it was lame.
Shown: 13 (+1) foals out of 49 breedings.
