Offspring report
Offspring 1999 (foals)
It was a uniform collection. The foals are moderately to sufficiently developed. They have refinement but are not in very good rectangular model. The head is expressive. The poll and neck should be longer. The muscling of the topline is sufficient. The wither has sufficient length but is a little flat. The shoulder has more than sufficient length but should have more slope. The back has good shape but should be longer. The loins are generally well connected. The croup is short and a little round. The hamstring should be longer. The foreleg is generally correct. The pasterns are long. The hindleg is generally correct. The legs are sufficiently developed. The walk is a little short and stiff. The foals trot with a lot of scope and impulsion but they should be more supple. The joints are used well both in front and in the back. The hindleg should be brought further underneath. The canter has a lot of impulsion. The foals have quick reflexes. They should canter more through the body.
The quality of the mares was moderate.
Two foals that were inspected at home fit in with the above picture. One foal"s movement could not be evaluated.
Shown: 10 (+2) foals out of 20 breedings.

Performance test report
1997
selected at Den Bosch Stallion Show
Mistral is a sufficiently long lined stallion with a slightly horizontal neck. The stance of the foreleg is straight.
Performance 1997
Difficult and undependable. He is moderately willing to work and is not easy to work. He must be ridden with a lot of authority. He showed a lot of resistance at the start of the test, this improved gradually. The walk is sufficiently big and active. The trot has sufficient scope and power but is relatively on the forehand. The canter has scope and is sufficiently carried. He has little talent for dressage and gives his rider a moderate feeling. He jumps carefully with a lot of impulsion, good technique and a lot of scope. He jumps very consistently. He has a lot of talent for jumping and gives his rider a very good feeling.
Stall behavior is characterized by a lack of respect for his caretakers.
