1997: Selected for performance test KWPN stallion show in Den Bosch. He was pulled out during the test.

Two times a year the KWPN stallion committee evaluates which internationally known stallions will be considered for the status of individually erkende stallion. In order to be considered for this a stallion must expressly have proven himself at the highest levels of international sport, either with their own performance or with that of their offspring, or a combination of the two. Individually erkende stallions to not expressly have to meet the KWPN requirements in regards to wellbeing (radiographs and endoscopy). Offspring of erkende stallions will be registered in the Foalbook.
The 166.0 cm Modesto comes from the famed Sina line that also produced Mac-Kinley, Cavalier and Laroche.
Frenchman Jean marc Nicolas has been riding the gray son of derby winner and big money winner Grandeur since 2001. Important specifics about Modesto are his win at the Nations Cup in Rotterdam during 2004, 2nd in the Grand Prix of Madrid in 2004, 2nd in the Nations Cup of Dublin and Hickstead and 2nd place in the Samsung Cup finals of Barcelona in 2004.
Modesto is in ninth place of the WBFSH rankings for jumpers. Modesto is one of the five approved stallions in France that have earned the elite predicate on the basis of their own performance and on their breeding results. In 1997 Modesto passed the radiograph, endoscopy and semen criteria.
