Vegas was born in 1994 and registered with the KWPN. His sire is the preferent Voltaire, and dam Dulisina is a studbook daughter of Joost. Granddam Ulisina is a studbook daughter of the Toroughbred Abgar xx, followed by a keur mare out of Wagner. Vegas measures 1.65m/ 16.2 hands. The stallion was born at Stal Roelofs, and following his approval with the Zangersheide studbook named Velusinus R. Under this name, the stallion was presented in the sport in the Netherlands. Later, the stallion was sold to the United States and renamed Vegas. Christine McCrea competes the stallion very successfully. In the past year, the stallion was successful in multiple Grand Prix’ and in the World Cup circuit. During the World Cup Final in Las Vegas, Vegas was highly ranked.
Conformation
Vegas was inspected by an approval committee of the KWPN-NA, and is described as a sufficiently developed stallion, that could have more jumping horse conformation, but is correctly built with a lot of quality. Despite his age and achievements, he possesses a lot of youthful enthusiasm. The legs are correct and very hardened.
The stallion will be named in the future: Vegas (ex Velusinus R). He has a jumping index of 139 with 46% reliability. His breeding value for conformation is 100 (45%), movement 97 (45%) and free jumping 108 (31%). Vegas meets all the radiological and airway standards set by the KWPN. As a result of an inguinal hernia, the stallion was unilaterally castrated. The semen quality is classed as sufficient.
