Offspring report

Offspring 1999
A uniform collection of foals. The development varied from moderate to sufficient. The foals are of moderate riding type and are in sufficient rectangular model. Sometimes the head is a bit long. The poll has good form and sufficient length. The sufficiently long neck is poorly muscled. Sometimes there is a ewe-neck. The wither is well developed. The shoulder has sufficient length but should have more slope. The back is good in form. The loins should have better muscling. In general the croup is short and flat. The gaskin is bald and the hamstring should be longer. The foreleg is correct but a little fragile. The hindleg is long and bent and in a number of cases the hock should be finished better. The base is more than sufficiently developed. The walk has sufficient scope but should have more power and suppleness. The neck is carried in the trot. The foals trot with scope and good use of the foreleg. The trot is pushing. The canter should have more power, balance and suppleness. One foal that was inspected at home differed positively in regards to the canter from the other foals.
In general the mares were of good quality.

Stallion Show Den Bosch, 2nd viewing
1997
Re-viewing selected for Ermelo
A stallion somewhat lacking in content and with a delicate base. The topline of the neck is well muscled, the loins should be better connected and the hindleg is a little long.
Performance Ermelo 1997
Mooiman is an honest, reliable stallion. He should show a little more effort, but lets himself be worked very well. In the beginning of the examination, the stallion was rigid through the topline and should have brought the hind leg underneath more. This greatly improved as the test went on. The walk has more than enough power and scope. Mooiman carries himself well in the trot. The foreleg lifts and moves out well. The canter is big and carried tolerably well. The stallion should be more collected and push better from behind. As a dressage horse, Mooiman has more than average to a great deal of talent. He gives his rider a good feeling.
Mooiman has passable take-off. He jumps with a grasping foreleg and a moderate bascule. Moreover, the jump could be finished better. He shows a fair to satisfactory amount of ability for jumping. He has little talent for jumping and gives his rider a moderate feeling.
Stall and handling behavior are normal.
