Afstammelingen 2005 (september; veulens)
Montreal toonde een goed ontwikkelde, maar in type een wisselende, collectie veulens.
Het hoofd is wisselend van vorm en uitstraling. De nek is voldoende van lengte. De hals is voldoende van lengte en vorm maar zou in de bovenlijn meer bespiering moeten hebben. De schouder is goed van lengte en ligging. De schoft is goed ontwikkeld en loopt mooi lang door. De rug is gezonken. De croupe is goed van ligging maar vaak kort. De broekspier zou langer moeten doorlopen. Het voorbeen is wisselend van lengte en vaak frans gesteld. Het achterbeen is lang en klein gehoekt. Het spronggewricht zou meerdere malen beter afgewerkt moeten zijn.
De stap is zuiver en voldoende van ruimte. De draf is voldoende van ruimte. De veulens blijven in draf hoog in de croupe waarbij het achterbeen actiever onder moet treden. De veulens galopperen makkelijk aan en zouden meer souplesse moeten hebben.
Kort samengevat: Goed ontwikkelde maar in type wisselende collectie veulens. De veulens hebben een goede schoft-schouderpartij. De veulens bewegen met voldoende ruimte, blijven hoog in de croupe en het achterbeen zou daarbij actiever onder moeten treden.
Montreal lijkt geschikt voor merries die rijtypisch zijn en een sterke bovenbouw hebben. De merries moeten een correct gesteld en afgewerkt fundament hebben.
De collectie bestond uit 13 door het KWPN aangewezen en drie door de eigenaar geselecteerde veulens. Twee door het KWPN aangewezen veulens waren afwezig. Deze veulens zijn thuis geïnspecteerd. Eén veulen past in het beeld van de rapportage en één wijkt daar positief van af wat betreft de bewegingen. De door de eigenaar geselecteerde veulens waren rijtypischer en hadden een correcter fundament.
De veulens werden gepresenteerd op een grasbodem.
De kwaliteit van de moeders was wisselend.
Getoond: 16 (+2) veulens uit 73 in 2004 gedekte merries.

Montreal is a royally developed, more than sufficient riding type stallion that stands in good rectangular model. The wither and shoulder are well developed, the neck comes from deep in the chest. The hindleg is straight. Montreal should be more refined and lacks quality in the base.
Pedigree information
Sire Indoctro is one of the better jumper sires in Holland.
Dam Zancara (keur prestatie) has produced 16 offspring (8 colts and 8 fillies) of which one is ster, one is 2nd ring and four are keur. Zancara is not only the dam of the international jumper Montreal (s Indoctro, rider Jur Vrieling), but also of the approved KWPN stallion and Z-jumper Great Pleasure (s Grannus). The mare herself performed at Z1-level dressage. Additionally she is the grandmother of the approved KWPN stallion and Z1-dressage horse Highline (s Sit This One Out xx).
Grandmother Shoraya (keur, preferent prestatie) produced the Z1-dressage horse and ZZ-jumper Dhelia (s Nimmerdor); the NRPS approved stallion and international GP-jumper N-Aldato (s Nimmerdor, rider Emile Hendrix) and the ZZ-jumper Oraya (s Glennridge). Shoraya is the grandmother of the Z-jumpers Haloette (s Sit This One Out xx), Libido-WG (s Emilion) Nicolette-WG (s Indoctro), Jourwies (s Wellington) and of Olympus (s Wellington). She is also the grandmother of the national jumpers Ishan (s Wellington) and Meiroos (s Wellington) and of the international GP-jumper San Patrignano Deka (s Wellington, rider Emilio Puriecelli).
Great grandmother Etoile is the grandmother of the Z1-dressage horse Illinois (s G Ramiro-Z). Etoile is the great grandmother of the ZZ-jumper Formateur (s Able Albert xx), of the Z-jumpers Jasmijn (s Cavalier) and Mtoile (s Burggraaf) and of the Z2-dressage horses Oetoile (s Jazz) and Letoile (s Rubinstein).
Performance
Montreal is an honest, reliable stallion. He has more than sufficient willingness to work and works more than sufficiently.
The walk is short and should have more bend in the joints and more suppleness. The trot is short and the stallion carries himself insufficiently and lacks impulsion and suppleness. The canter has sufficient scope, more than sufficient impulsion and balance and should have more suppleness. Montreal has insufficient talent for dressage and gives his rider a moderate feeling.
Montreal jumps with sufficient take-off and has more than sufficient quickness. The stallion has good foreleg technique and jumps with sufficient bascule. Montreal seems careful. The stallion should show more suppleness over the jump. He has much scope. Montreal has more than sufficient talent for jumping and gives his rider a sufficient feeling.
