Performance report

Offspring report

Offspring 1997
A uniform collection of more than sufficiently developed, riding type foals that are in good rectangular model was shown. The foals showed little scope and power in movement. The head is well formed. The poll is good of length and the neck also has the desired length, rounding and muscling of the topline. The wither is well developed. The shoulder is good of length. Placement and muscling of the shoulder are more than sufficient. The back is a little deep, but the loins are well connected. The croup slopes and has sufficient length. Both the buttock and the gaskin should be better muscled. The foreleg is correct. The stance of the hindleg varies from correct to being a little sickle-hocked. The hindleg is long and is behind the body.
The walk is big and supple. The trot is very limited, it lacks scope, power and balance. The canter is easier for the foals. They have more push from behind and suppleness, but the scope in the canter is a bit limited and the foals stay flat in the foreleg. One foal that was inspected at home fit in with the rest of the picture in regards to conformation. Because of illness movement could not be evaluated. The quality of the mares was sufficient to good.
Shown 12 (+1) foals out of 34 breedings.

Performance test report

Laroche is a well-built stallion with long lines. The stallion has a nice forehand, the loins are a little tight. His feet are well developed.
Performance Ermelo 1996 (total score tied for 11th, dressage tied for 22nd, jumping tied for 4th)
Laroche is an honest stallion that tenses quickly. In the beginning of the test the stallion gave problems while the rider was mounting but this improved as the test went on. The stallion has more than enough willingness to work. The walk lacks tact and often shows a tendency to be lateral. The trot is sufficiently carried. The canter is big, powerful well carried. In dressage the stallion works sufficiently and gives his rider a sufficient feeling. He has little talent for dressage. Laroche leaves the ground quickly when jumping and he is sufficiently careful. He uses his legs well, but holds himself a little in the rear. He seems to have sufficient ability. Laroche has more than enough talent for jumping and gives his rider a good feeling.
Stall behavior is normal.
