Offspring report

Offspring 1997
The foals are well developed and have nice lines. They are in good rectangular model and are refined. The foals show scope and suppleness in movement and also good use of the hindleg but they stay a little flat in the foreleg.
The head is often expressive, sometimes a little long. The poll and the neck have a lot of length and muscling. The neck is very well carried. The wither sometimes lacks development. On the average the shoulder is long and sloping. The back/loin formation has good length and muscling. The croup has a lot of length, is sufficiently sloping and the muscling is good. The hamstring is also well developed. The stance of the foreleg is correct. Some foals had a fine cannon and a moderately developed knee. The hindleg is slightly sickle-hocked and the hock should be better developed. The foals have noticeable long pasterns. The scopey walk has sufficient suppleness. The foals trot with scope, a lot of suppleness and a lot of freedom of the shoulder. The foreleg should bend more in the knee, the hindleg is brought under sufficiently.
Some foals lack regularity and coordination in the walk and the trot. The canter is very big. The hindleg is brought under well and actively. In the canter the foreleg should bend more through the knee. Three foals that were inspected at home confirmed the picture of the foals. A fourth picked foal died. The quality of the mares was more than sufficient to good.
Shown: 21 (+3) foals out of 98 breedings.
