Offspring report

Offspring 1997 (foals)
The foals are generally well developed. They are tuig type, have front and are clearly in the rectangular model. The foals are dignified but the hindleg should generally carry more. The head varies, sometimes it has a convex profile. The foals have an expressive eye. In general the poll and the neck both have good length. The neck is carried well and is muscled well in the topline. The development of the wither varies from good to insufficient. The shoulder has good length and position. The back is a little long and the loins are sometimes tight. The muscling of the topline is more than sufficient. The shape of the croup is good but it should have more length. The hindleg is often long and crooked. The legs are sturdy but should have more quality in the joints.
The walk is sufficiently active. The foals like to present themselves in the trot. They go like tuig types, carry their neck and come back in the front but they should rise a little more. The foreleg moves out sufficiently but should show a little more knee action. Several foals are slow with the hindleg. In general the foals should carry more. The foals have sufficient scope but should have more suspension. One of the picked foals was not yet inspected at home. The quality of the mares was good on the average.
Shown: 12 (+1) foal out of 46 breedings.
