Offspring report

Offspring 1998
Uniform collection of barely sufficient to sufficiently developed foals. They are in sufficient rectangular model but are not much of the riding type. The head is expressive. The poll should be longer. Sometimes the neck should be longer. The neck comes from deep in the chest and should be better muscled in the topline. The wither is sufficiently developed and short. The shoulder is good in length and placement. The foals drop off behind the wither and have weak loins. The muscling of the back/loin formation is sufficient. The sufficiently long croup should slope more and the tail set is high. The hamstring is more than sufficiently developed but should be longer. The generally correct foreleg should be longer. The hindleg is long and out behind. The base is strongly developed.
The sufficiently big walk should have more suppleness. The foals trot with sufficient freedom of the shoulder. The hindleg is picked up sufficiently but is not brought under the body much, therefore the foals carry themselves little. The foals hold themselves through the back in the trot. They don"t jump into the canter easily. The canter should be more supple. In general the mares accompanying the foals were moderate. In the group of selected foals there were a few very good mares.
Shown: 14 foals out of 22 breedings.
