Offspring report

Offspring 1997 (foals)
The stallion showed a uniform collection of riding type foals that showed refinement and appeal. The development ranges from barely adequate to adequate. The foals are of sufficient rectangular model, but should have more substance. The movement is appealing. The use of the foreleg is very good and the hindleg is also used well.
The head is expressive. The foals have sufficient poll; the neck has sufficient length and adequate muscling through the topline. Some foals are ewe-necked, but the neck is well carried. The wither is sufficiently developed. Length and slope of the shoulder are adequate and the muscling is more than adequate. The back is more than sufficiently muscled and the loins are well connected. The croup slopes and has sufficient length and muscling. The hamstring is long. The foreleg is correct but delicate. The hindleg is correct. The walk is good, with size and suppleness. The trot is remarkably good. The foreleg is raised very nicely and moves out well. The foals have good freedom of the shoulder. The hindleg is brought under the body well. The foals trot off easily and they trot with a great deal of balance and suppleness. The foals have good pasterns. There is good impulsion at the canter and good scope, suppleness and balance. The quality of the mares was very good.
Shown 17 foals out of 62 breedings.
