Offspring report
Offspring 1994 (foals)
This stallion showed a rather uniform collection of sufficient to well developed foals. They are sufficient riding type; the picked foals could be a little more refined. The head seems to vary in form and expression. The neck has good shape and length. The wither has good length but should be more developed for the picked foals. The shoulder almost always has good length and placement. The back is often hollow and evolves into a well-connected loin formation. The croup is sufficiently long, wide and muscled but often a bit round. Both the fore- and hindleg are correct with well-developed joints. The legs generally have substance and are lean.
The walk varies a bit, the manner of stepping is almost always good but, especially with the picked foals, it is always limited. The trot is somewhat short and shows little freedom of the shoulder, which also limits the scope. The use of the foreleg tends to be a little flat. The hindleg is used well.
The mares were plain.
The veterinary remarks pertain to some cases of feet that were not very developed.
In short: sufficient to well developed foals of sufficient riding type that possess a strong base and limited movement.
Shown: 15 foals out of 80 breedings.

Performance test report
Well developed stallion with a good forehand, correct build, could be a little more typey in the croup.
Performance 1993
Ilmeo is an impertinent, busy but honest stallion. He is very willing to work and he works well. The walk and trot have sufficient power but little freedom in the shoulder. The stallion paddles in the trot. In the canter he uses the hind legs well but he goes on the forehand and keeps the croup high. He has little talent for dressage and gives his rider a moderate feeling. In jumping the stallion alternates good and less good moments. He twists in the jump but is careful and shows sufficient scope. The stallion jumps better under saddle than free. He has sufficient to more than sufficient talent for jumping and gives his rider a sufficient feeling. Stall and handling behavior is normal.
On 4/26 the stallion was very lame and was very sore on the left foreleg. An examination at the University of Utrecht (both clinical and radiological) pointed to trauma. The lameness disappeared after a week of treatment and directed work .
