Offspring report

Offspring 1994 (foals)
Hinault showed a uniform collection of well-developed foals. They are long-lined, riding type foals with good rumps and good body proportions. They show sufficient refinement. The head is long but has a good expression. The long, well-formed neck is sufficiently muscled. The wither is long and well developed. The shoulder is long and has good slope. The back has good length and muscling. The well-muscled loin is well connected. The croup is long and well formed. The hamstring is long. The foreleg is correct. The picked foals have a small angle on the hindleg while others have a curb at the top of the cannon. The selected foals have a correct hindleg with a correct hock. The base is well developed.
The walk is good, big. The foals trot actively, with scope and sufficient rise. The hindleg should be brought underneath more. The foreleg is used well. The foals lack a little suppleness. They should loosen more through the topline. The selected foals moved better than the picked ones.
The picked foals had plain dams, the selected foals had better dams.
Veterinary remarks: knobby hocks were noticed.
In short: Uniform group of well developed, riding type foals that move with power.
Shown: 16 foals out of 84 breedings.
