Offspring report
Offspring 1994 (foals)
This stallion showed barely sufficient to sufficiently developed foals. The selected foals were a little better developed. The collection seemed to have good riding type, while refinement and appeal were also on hand. The head is pretty and has an expressive eye. The neck is generally well formed, has the required length and possesses a nice rounding in the topline. The transition from neck to the wither/shoulder formation should be smoother. The wither is especially well developed and also has good length. There is no doubt that the length and placement of the shoulder are good. Back and loin are well formed and muscled. The croup is good, has sufficient length but is sometimes a bit round. The selected foals had good croups. The foreleg is often tied in under the knee, often a bit poor and sometimes hollow (picked foals) or tight). They pretty much all have long pasterns. The hindleg is correct, sometimes long and could often have more substance.
The walk does not have good use of the back. The trot is characterized by rise in the front, good suspension, self carriage, good cadence, good balance and good impulsion. Sometimes the head is just carried high enough that the back hollows and the hindleg does not follow through. Otherwise the trot - in which most of the foals can do good transitions - should come more through the back.
The mares were of plain quality.
No veterinary remarks.
In short: barely sufficient to sufficiently developed riding type foals that have refinement and that move well.
Shown: 20 foals out of 102 breedings.
