Offspring report
Offspring 1994 (foals)
This stallion showed well-developed foals. They are long-lined models that often could more vaulted ribs. On the whole they are in good riding type. The head is often a little long but does show sufficient expression. The neck can vary a bit: in general it has good form and length but sometimes it is a little poor. The wither is extra long and well developed. The shoulder varies from sufficient to good length but could sometimes have more slope. The back is often a little long, sometimes also a bit hollow. The loin formation is sufficiently connected. The croup is a little short but has good shape. The foreleg is correct and shows a well-developed knee. The pastern is almost always a little long and (therefore) weak. Seen from the side the foreleg is positioned correctly. The hindleg is generally correct. The walk is big and easy. The foals show sufficient scope in the trot but lack the desired rise in the front. The impulsion also leaves something to be desired, while the hindleg stays behind the body and never does much carrying.
The mares ranged from good to very good quality.
The veterinary remarks are related to five cases of foals being cow-hocked and foals being toed out.
In short: well-developed, long-lined foals that should trot with more power and rise in the front.
Shown: 30 foals out of 161 breedings.
