Performance report

Offspring report

Offspring 1994 (foals)
The foals formed a uniform collection. They are sufficiently developed, sufficient riding type foals. They are refined and a little shallow. The shape and expression of the head is sufficient. The foals have a good poll and a long neck. The shape of the neck is good but the muscling should be better. The wither has sufficient length and development. The sufficiently long shoulder is sometimes a little straight. The muscling of the topline is moderate. The back is long and the loins are sufficiently connected. The well-shaped croup should be longer. The hamstring is sufficiently long. The stance of the fore- and hindleg is good. The base should be better developed. The legs are noticeably lean.
The walk is short. The trot is shown with rise in the front, impulsion and good use of the joints, but it should have more scope and the foals should be looser through the topline. The selected foals generally have more scope. The quality of the mares varied from moderate to good.
There were no veterinary remarks.
In short: refined foals with somewhat little substance that move sufficiently.

Performance Ermelo 1993 (tied for 15th place)
Hollywood quickly tenses and is a busy but honest and obedient stallion. He is very willing to work and he works sufficiently. The stallion"s mouth should be better. The walk and trot are short, they have little regularity but did improve during the test. The canter also lacks scope but feels better to the rider than one would expect by watching. Hollywood has moderate talent for dressage and gives his rider a moderate feeling. The stallion has more than sufficient take-off during jumping and has leg technique and good use of the back. He is careful, finishes the jump well and shows more than sufficient scope. Hollywood has much talent for jumping. He gives his rider a good feeling.
Stall and handling behavior are normal.
On 4/14 the muscles in his back were sore. Blood was drawn to test for muscle enzymes. He was treated for 5 days and this caused made a marked improvement.
