Offspring report

Offspring 1995
Celano is entered into the Pferdezuchtverbard Sachsen e.V. in Dresden. Since 1992, 35 colts and 26 fillies have been registered by this studbook. The stallion committee was therefore able to evaluate those offspring. Well-developed, sufficient riding type foals. The head varies a bit but they always have a large, clear eye. The neck has good length and muscling. The wither is good in length and development. The shoulder is also generally good in length and placement. The back is good in length and development. The loins are generally well muscled. The croup has good shape but should often be longer. The foreleg is correct, the hindleg is a little long. The legs are hard and lean but should sometimes have more substance. A weak pastern stance has been observed. The foot should be bigger. The walk is good. The trot is big, elastic and tactful, and has good use of the hindleg. The canter is big and powerful and shows good rise in front.
Offspring 1996
Celano was entered into the studbook last year on the basis of his jumping performance and his interesting pedigree. His German offspring were also evaluated, some of whom were free jumped. The foals formed a somewhat varied collection. Those that were with substantial mares were big, well developed foals. Mares with little substance had mostly foals that were not very developed themselves. The model varies from simple to sufficient riding type. The foals are mostly in rectangular type. The picked foals had correctly formed heads. The selected foals had an expressive head. The foals have poll; the neck is good in length and well carried. The topline of the neck should be better muscled, especially for the picked foals. Sometimes the neck is deep and ewenecked. The picked foals had flat withers, the selected foals had sufficient development. The shoulder is clearly straight but the length and muscling are sufficient. The back is somewhat weak, the loins are more than sufficiently muscled. The picked foals had a short, round croup. The muscling of the croup is more than sufficient. The short hamstring again pertains to the picked foals. The stance of the foreleg is correct. The hindleg is long with moderate muscling of the gaskin. The stance of the hindleg varies. The base is more than sufficiently developed. The walk has sufficient scope and sufficient suppleness. The foals trot with their head held high and a hollow back. They have a lot of scope in the trot but the hindleg is slow. The hindleg was less slow for the selected foals, and there was also more freedom in the shoulder. The quality of the mares was good.
Shown: 28 foals out of 178 breedings.
