Offspring report
Offspring 1992 (foals)
This stallion showed a collection of well to generously developed foals. The foals that were selected by the stallion owners were uniform in their tuig type, especially the front. The collection of picked foals varied from little tuig type with little refinement to tuig type with sufficient refinement. The head is plain, often a little coarse, and also shows a convex profile. The selected foals had a better-formed head. The neck has good shape and length, has a good poll and is carried well. One foal had a ewe-neck. Among the selected foals there were several with an extremely good neck. The wither almost always lacks development and is also a little short. The shoulder generally has good length but should almost always have more slope. There were several cases where the shoulder is a little too far forward. The back is generally a little long and somewhat weak. The loin formation is sufficiently muscled. The croup is muscled but often short and sometimes a little flat. The foreleg is correct. The hindleg is mostly well built and positioned, sometimes a little long. The quality of the legs is sufficient. The walk is sufficient. The trot varies. Some foals have extra good use of the hindleg. In general the foals also come back in the front. The majority should have a hindleg that comes underneath better and with more power. The foreleg also misses lift in the knee that is desirable for a harness horse. On the basis of the picked foals and their dams the hypothesis could be made that the stallion primarily fits with mares that carry hackney blood. One foal that was evaluated in its stall (because of lameness) was simple in type.
Shown: 24 foals out of 93 breedings.

Performance test report
1990
Champion Utrecht Stallion Show
Performance Ermelo 1990 (tied for 1st place)
Cheerful, friendly, honest, obedient and attentive. He was green at the start of the test. He has a lot of stature and makes sufficient use of his hindquarter. He is a real show horse when he performs. At the start of the test his walk was moderate, he uses the pastern of the right hind too much. During the course of the test the walk improved to sufficient and the use of the pastern lessened somewhat. The trot also improved during the test. Toward the end of the test the trot was more than sufficient. He was very pleasant to drive. He maneuvers rather well and has more than sufficient posture. He does very well in front of the show cart. He has sufficient power from behind and reacts quickly to encouragement from his driver or the public. It makes no difference really whether he is driven with or without aids. He is very willing to work and finds the work very easy. He really likes to go and enjoys the work. He has much talent as a harness horse. He was in good condition upon arrival. He got harder during the test. He was on shavings from the beginning. Stall behavior is calm.
At the start of the test he over used the pastern slightly. This improved during the test.
