Offspring report

Offspring 1992 (foals)
The stallion showed well developed, long-lined riding type foals. The group of selected foals was further characterized by their refinement. In the first group of picked foals there were some that had a not so pretty head, convex between the eyes and long ears. The rest of the foals had much nicer heads. On the whole the alert expressions really stood out. The neck is well shaped and long. The good poll length was clearly noticeable. The wither is sufficiently developed and extends long into the back. The shoulder is long and well placed. Sometimes the back is long but it is always well muscled. The loins are also well muscled. The croup is long, strongly muscled and well formed. The foreleg is built strong with a well developed knee. The hindleg has a strong angle and sometimes a low placed hock. The connection of the cannon and hock is often sharp. The base of the selected foals had less substance than that of the picked foals. The hocks were more correct. The walk is sufficient. The picked foals showed scope in the trot but not much carrying power. The selected foals clearly had a better trot with good use of the hind leg, nice rise in the front and with good scope. This stallion mostly had good mares. A foal that was evaluated at home fit in with the rest of the collection but appeared to have a well-developed hind leg.
Shown: 32 foals out of 268 breedings.
