Offspring report
Offspring 1990 (foals)
The picked foals in the collection were sufficient to well developed; the selected foals were well developed. The picked foals were sufficient to good riding types, varying from short-coupled to long lined, sometimes they were a little plain. The selected foals were long lined, appealing, good riding type foals. The group of selected foals was more uniform. The head is well formed with expression. The picked foals had a neck that was sufficient to good in length, a few were deep from the chest and a few others a little poor in the muscling of the topline. The neck of the selected foals had good shape and length. The wither is long and sufficient to well developed. The shoulder is almost always long and well placed. The back is well muscled and flows into a well-connected loin. Though the picked foals had a wide, well formed, well muscled croup it could be longer; the selected foals had a very well formed croup with good length. Both the fore- and hindleg are correct. The legs are well developed and have well developed joints. The walk is easy and sufficient in scope. In general movement is good, there is tact and balance but the hindleg should come underneath more effectively. The trot sometimes misses the desired Schwung and sometimes looks a little adjusted. In a rare case there is a swinging trot. A number of foals showed a very good trot with much tact, balance, rise in the front and good use of the hindleg. Both groups had foals with small feet.
In short: a generally well developed, riding type collection. The foals show a strong foundation with good joints. The trot sometimes seems adjusted but usually shows good tact, balance and rise.
Shown: 31 foals out of 169 breedings.
