Offspring report

Offspring 1989
This stallion showed foals that varied in regards to development. On the whole they are sufficiently developed but there were also foals that should have been better developed. The foals are of moderate riding type; they are long-legged and shallow. The collection was reasonably uniform. The head is expressive but often long and sometimes a little roman. The shape of the neck is good as is the length of the poll. The length of the neck is good, even if somewhat poorly muscled in the topline. The wither is often short and not very developed, though there are exceptions. The shoulder is always short and straight. The back is pretty much long. The loins could have better muscling. The croup is often short and sometimes flat. The foreleg is generally fragile and the stance varies: sometimes good, sometimes straight, and sometimes back at the knee. The hindleg is generally long with a strong angle; sometimes the hindleg is straight. The transition from the cannon to the hock is rather sharp. The walk is sufficient in scope and power. The trot generally shows a lot of scope with good use of the hindleg. The foreleg stays rather flat in the trot and in a number of cases could use more freedom in the shoulder. There are foals in the collection with an excellent trot and a lot of balance and suspension.
In short: the foals should have more depth. They are of moderate riding type with a lot of front. Movement shows a lot of scope with good use of the hindleg.
Offspring 1990 (foals in Westfalen)
The stallion"s first foals in Westfalen were eagerly awaited. The message had come from Holland that the stallion threw color and large heads. This was not the case. The stallion passed on his three excellent gaits, especially the trot. All 30 foals showed a hindquarter that came underneath with energy and elasticity. The well-developed foals had good lines with a noticeably good wither/shoulder formation.

Performance test report

Performance 1988 (B-system, 21 days)
Friendly, obedient with good humor. He was saddle broke at the start of the test. He is well behaved during light work. He had trouble going through the neck during the first week and held back a little. Later he showed a lot of willingness to work. He gives his rider a good feeling. He has little trouble with the work. He was in good condition upon arrival and remained that way. He ate normally. Calm in his stall.
