STALLION † MAYKEL x ORTHOS

Offspring report

Offspring 1989
The foals of this stallion are well developed with good rumps. The group was pretty uniform and showed sufficient riding type foals. The head is well formed; the poll is well placed and has good length and muscling. The wither is well developed in a number of foals and is also sufficiently long. Other foals should have more length and development in the wither. The same is true for the shoulder, which generally has sufficient length and also the desired slope, but several foals had a rather straight shoulder and it should also be longer. The back is generally well muscled but sometimes a little long when the shoulder is not ideal. The loins are well muscled and connected. The croup has good form and length, a few are a little straight. The foreleg is correct with a good cannon and knee. The hindleg varies - sometimes it is correct, sometimes it is long and sometimes a little straight. The quality of the legs is good. The walk is good with sufficient power and scope. The foals show good movement in the trot with a hindleg that comes underneath well. The foals trot easily. On the basis of the collection of foals shown, often accompanied by simple mares, it may be said that the stallion can handle a mare with a lot of thoroughbred blood.
In short: strong foals with good rumps that can move sufficiently.
Shown: 15 foals out of 55 breedings.
