Offspring report

Offspring 1989
The Concorde foals shown were well developed with a discernibly well-built base. It seems that the stallion can pass on the solidity in the legs to mares with Thoroughbred blood. He also seems to improve on the shape of the neck. In regards to type there was a difference between the picked and the selected foals. The selected foals showed more refinement than the picked foals, but on the whole they were of a good riding type. In most cases the head was well formed - sometimes with a deep-set eye - and was expressive. The neck has good length and showed an nice "cap" (topline). It seems that in some cases that when the foals were stood up the neck was a little deep but it was well carried in the trot. Among the picked foals the croup was sometimes a little short and flat, but among the selected foals it seemed well developed and of good length; the shoulder seems to have more slope and length among the selected foals. The back was sometimes a little deep - especially among the picked foals - but on the whole was well muscled. The loin was well muscled, the croup had good length, width and muscling and blended well into the hamstring. The stance of the foreleg was good, the knee was good, although sometimes a little straight among the picked foals. On the whole the foals had nice long pasterns. Some of the hind legs were a little long and angular, but this did not seem to hinder the foals in movement. The well-developed hocks were noticeable. The walk could be bigger in both sets of foals and they both lacked suppleness. The foals moved well in the trot; they trotted efficiently, easily, with tact and balance. In some cases the use of the hind leg could have been stronger and the shoulder could have moved with more freedom.
In short: well-developed, good foals with good necks and more than adequate movement.
Shown: 26 foals out of 116 breedings.
Keur in 1995
This stallion received his Keur predicate at a relatively young age. However, he already had three approved sons, namely Holland, Jacorde and Jumbo Jet. His index, in the group of with 4 - 6 yr old offspring, is with 130 points for jumping with more than 82% reliability. This stallion puts a good frame on his offspring along with a long sloped shoulder, a long croup, strong muscling at the gaskin and good movements. He is really making an international name for himself under Jos Lansink. The adjective Olympic says it all. He won the Dutch jumping championships in 1992, the year before that he won the stallion jumping championships at 1.40 m.

Performance test report

Performance 1987 (9th out of 33)
Obedient, honest, balks once in a while, honest with good humor. Was green at beginning of the test. Was rather playful during the first few weeks, this decreased at time went on. Was on the forehand in the beginning, this improved also. Liked to get a hold of the bit and was not very supple. The walk is sufficiently big, the trot is regular but rather short strided, trots with a straight hind leg. The canter is well carried and nicely rounded. Shows very good technique in jumping and has a great deal of ability. He has good jumping abilities while doing cross-country also but could have a larger canter. He is more than willing to work and thinks work is easy. Was in good feeding shape upon arrival, received more feed than the average and became more muscled up and more of a riding type during the test.
Calm in his stall.
