Offspring report
Offspring 1990 (foals)
This stallion showed a uniform collection of foals. They have tuig type and are well developed. A few of selected foals could have been developed more generously. The head is a little long but sufficiently expressive. The neck is very well formed, shows much poll and is well carried. It is clear that the stallion improves on this point. The length and development of the wither are barely sufficient. The shoulder has the preferred length but, in several cases, should have more slope. The back is well muscled, sometimes a little long. The loins are well formed but in a few cases they are a little tight. The croup is wide, muscled, well shaped and barely sufficient in length. The foreleg is correct with a well-developed knee. The hindleg is almost always long and has a small angle. A few of the foals have a hock that is rather shallow and should be harder. The walk is sufficient. The foals look very good in the trot. Almost all the foals show front. The use of the hindleg should be more convincing. The foreleg should also grab more and should show more knee action. The picture of the trot is one that shows little scope.
In short: well developed, tuig type foals with a remarkably generous poll. The foals show front in the trot; the use of the hindleg should be more convincing.
Shown: 17 foals out of 57 breedings.

Performance test report
Performance Ermelo 1988
Attentive, friendly, obedient, honest and truculent with good humor. He had already been harnessed at the start of the test. He has very good use of the hindquarter. He has a difficult mouth, which improved during the course of the test but on and off still gave problems. The walk is more than sufficient with good tact. The trot is good and square with nice tact. The walk is not always regular in front of the sled. He should be more flexible in the driving test. During the show test he is over the legs well, has much freedom from the shoulder and good knee action. His movements have much scope; once in a while he goes too deep. He is very willing to work and finds the work easy. He has very much talent for harness work. He was fairly skinny upon arrival and did not have a nice coat. His condition improved during the test. He ate normally. He was very restless in his stall during the first few weeks. He calmed down after he was moved to another stall, but he still got restless whenever anything out of the ordinary was going on.
