Offspring 1999 (foals)
A uniform collection of foals. They are richly developed and generally stand in good rectangular model. They are sufficiently riding type and have more than sufficient refinement. The head is well formed and expressive. The poll and neck have good length and muscling. The neck is used well. The wither has good length and is sufficiently developed. The long shoulder should sometimes have a bit more slope. The strongly muscled back-loin connection also has good length and shape. The croup should be longer, but has sufficient slope. The hamstring is sufficiently long enough. The stance of the foreleg is good and has sufficient length. Sometimes the hindleg is sickle hocked. The legs are well developed. The walk has good scope and rhythm. The foals move well through the body at the walk. They trot with beautiful self carriage. The trot has good scope and impulsion and the hindleg is used well. The foals canter with much suppleness and balance. The canter is powerful and has good scope.
The quality of the mares was good.
Of the three at-home inspected foals, two deviated negatively from the above in regards to development and movement in the trot.
