STALLION † RENOVO x HOOGHEID

Offspring report

Loss of approval 1988 (foals)
This stallion showed a heterogeneous group of foals, both in regards to type as well as development. Beside some good types there were also several that were short-coupled. Development varied from insufficient to sufficient and a few long-legged foals were also pointed out. The head is moderately formed and often long and coarse. The neck has sufficient length, is positioned sufficiently but is almost always from deep in the chest. The wither is well developed; the shoulder has good length and placement but the connection from the neck to the wither/shoulder formation is not smooth. The back is sufficiently formed and muscled; the loin is repeated pushed up. The croup is sufficient in shape, well muscled, but often short. The foreleg is well positioned but often a little fine. The hindleg is generally correct with sufficient quality; an isolated hock should be leaner. The walk is moderate to sufficient in scope but stiff. The foals use the hindleg well in the trot. There is also sufficient scope but the forehand does not rise and the desired knee action is also lacking. It must be noted that the stallion had good tuig type mares.
In short: Balmoral is afgekeurd (lost his approval) because this stallion does not breed consistently both in regards to type and development. The foals do not move sufficiently tuig like.
Shown: 11 foals out of 33 breedings.
