He showed sufficiently developed foals and it must be noted that the stallion did not pass on his own sturdy body to the extreme. Actually in the group of picked foals there were several that had only barely enough substance. The foals are sufficiently of the riding type. The selected foals were a little better. They are often long lined but are also long legged. The foals should - with the exception of a few in the last group - show more refinement. The head is long and shows little expression. The necks are long and often poorly muscled in the topline, thereby causing a indentation before the wither. The wither is sufficiently developed. The shoulder varies in regards to length but generally has sufficient slope. The back is sufficiently muscled, as are the loins. The croup is well formed but should be longer. The foreleg is sufficiently strong. Build and stance of the hindleg are both good. The quality of the legs is moderate. The picked foals were stiff in the walk, the selected foals had more scope and suppleness. The offspring show good scope in the trot and good tact and balance, but the hindleg is limited in coming underneath. A lot of the foals are cow-hocked. In spite of the above remarks it must be noted that the foals lengthen and shorten easily. Some of the foals are irregular in the trot. There are veterinary remarks concerning the inside of the hock, which is often coarse. The pasterns could also be finer. The mares varied in type and quality.
In short: In comparison to his own substance the stallion produces normally developed foals that are sufficient in riding type. They should be more refined. Movement shows scope, tact and balance but the hindleg should be used more convincingly.
