Offspring report

Offspring 1987 (foals)
The foals by this stallion are well developed. The uniform collection was made up of long lined riding type foals. There was no difference between the group of picked and the group of selected foals. The head is expressive and well formed. The neck has good length, is well formed and is well carried. The poll has good length. The wither is long but should develop more. The shoulder has sufficient length and is generally well placed. Sometimes the group of picked foals had a short shoulder that could also slope more. The back is well muscled and the transition to the croup is - by way of well-muscled loins - good. The croup is well shaped and has sufficient length; the hamstring is long. The foreleg is generally well placed with a well-developed knee. In few cases the stance was either back at the knee or straight. The hindleg is correct. The legs are generally hard and have quality. The walk is good, although the hock could function better. There is scope from the shoulder. The trot shows freedom in the shoulder but the hindleg should come underneath better. The hock and knee are not used much in the trot. Both the walk and the trot were sometimes irregular.
In short: a uniform collection of long lined, riding type foals with refinement and well-positioned legs of good quality. The freedom of the shoulder is good in the trot but the use of the hindleg is limited.
Shown: 22 foals out of 111 breedings.
