Offspring report
Offspring 1988 (foals)
This Thoroughbred stallion showed a uniform group of very riding type foals that are well developed. The head is expressive but long. The neck has sufficient length but should sometimes be more muscled up in the topline. As a result the neckline to the wither sometimes has an indentation. The poll has sufficient length. The wither and shoulder formation are without a doubt exemplary. The shoulder is long and sloping. The wither is long and strongly developed. The back is shaped and muscled well and the loins provide a good connection between the forehand and the hindquarter. The croup is well formed and well muscled but should often have more length. There were several foals that had a somewhat rounded buttock muscle in all the groups. The foreleg is correct with a nice long pastern, it has sufficient substance and shows a well-developed knee. The hindleg is uniformly sickle hocked. In several cases the hock is knobby and the top of the splint bone is rough. In general the hock is sufficiently developed, but in the group of picked foals especially the hock should repeatedly be longer and wider. The walk is sufficient but should be more generous; the use of the hindleg is limited while the freedom of the shoulder should also be more evident. There were clear differences in the trot. Some of the foals trot well with much cadence, scope and elasticity but the majority of the foals lack power from behind. The quality of the legs is generally good. The feet are good both in build and shape. The stallion had good mares. An enormous rainstorm that lasted through the showing of the first foals left the footing very slick and boggy.
In short: well-developed foals. The stallion is able to really improve the type. The hindquarter should come underneath better in the trot.
Shown: 33 foals out of 172 breedings.

Performance test report
Behavior test Ermelo 1987 (02-02 t/m 23-02)
Very calm, intelligent with good humor. He is affectionate, honest and obedient. He had a short racing career prior to the start of test. He behaved well during the light work. He showed some sensitivity in his back, especially during the canter. He was very willing to work and enjoyed the work. He was in good condition upon arrival and remained that way. Stall behavior is good. He would hang on the halter sometimes when he was tied up in his stall. He quit as soon as it became clear to him that he could not pull loose. Otherwise he was good about being groomed without being tied up. He likes to eat.
Character: 8, Stall behavior: 9.
Conformation drescription
