Offspring report

Offspring 1990 (foals)
The stallion presented well-developed foals that seem a little shallow in the back because they are so long-legged. The collection was not uniform in regards to type. On average the foals are of moderate riding type, ranging from good riding type to insufficient riding type. The neck has sufficient length but is often poor in the topline. The base of the neck should be better. Never the less, the necks are carried well in movement. The wither is sufficiently developed and shows sufficient length. The shoulder is often straight and short. The back is long, slightly hollow and evolves into moderately muscled loins. The croup is often short, it does have good shape but shows a poorly muscled gaskin. The foreleg is correct, though tight in a few cases, with a sufficiently developed knee. On the whole there is a sufficiently developed front foot. In a few cases the foot is a bit small. The hindleg is always long while the angle in the hock is often small. The hock is well developed. The walk is big. The trot is big and carried, however the use of the hindleg corresponds to the build, meaning that it is often only moderate in coming underneath the body.
The unusual remark must be made here that the stallion was not admitted to the studbook to improve on conformation but because of the performance blood that he carries, which he himself really knows how to make use of.
In short: well-developed, long-legged looking foals that vary in type. The trotting mechanism is characterized by scope and self-carriage, the hindleg should move under the body more effectively.
Shown: 16 foals out of 53 breedings.
