Offspring report
Offspring 2003 (foals)
Rubiquil showed a varied collection of sufficiently developed foals that are sufficient to much riding type, that have much charisma in the front and that stand in sufficient to more than sufficient rectangular model.
The head is very expressive, generally small with a nice eye. The poll has much length and is well formed. The neck has sufficient to more than sufficient length, is well muscled and has good position. The wither has more than sufficient length and should be more developed. The shoulder has sufficient length and position. Sometimes the back is weak. The loins are well connected. The croup has sufficient to more than sufficient length, is well muscled and varies in shape. The hamstring should be longer. The foreleg varies in length, has correct stance and often a straight pastern. The hooves are narrow. The stance of the hindleg is correct, in a few cases a little sickle hocked. The base varies in development and has more than sufficient quality.
The walk is generally pure and more than sufficient to good in scope and suppleness. The trot has much impulsion with good use of the hindleg. The foals have much self carriage, show much balance and are good at transitions. The canter has more than sufficient scope, self carriage and impulsion. The foals jump easily into the canter.
There were 13 picked foals and 4 that were selected by the owner. One of the picked foals died before the evaluation. One foal that was inspected at home deviated negatively from the collection, there was a bog spavin. The foals that were selected by the owner fit in with the report above.
The quality of the mares varied.
Shown: 17 (+1) foals out of 73 mares that were bred in 2002.
