Two times a year the KWPN stallion committee evaluates which internationally known stallions will be considered for the status of individually erkende stallion. In order to be considered for this a stallion must expressly have proven himself at the highest levels of international sport, either with their own performance or with that of their offspring, or a combination of the two. Individually erkende stallions to not expressly have to meet the KWPN requirements in regards to wellbeing (radiographs and endoscopy). Offspring of erkende stallions will be registered in the Foalbook.
The Holsteiner Lord-Z had the chance to break through into Grand Prix jumping after he had a notable career as a young horse - including being a finalist at the Bundeschampionat and the World Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken. He has had success with Ulrich Kirchhof, Beat Mändli and John Whitaker.
The 165.0 cm stallion was also able to make a breakthrough in breeding. After he was approved in Zangersheide as a young horse he bred in Holland for a few years. Many of the foals resulting of those breedings are registered KWPN. Meanwhile his daughter Nicolette (ds Zirkoon) is also jumping at Grand Prix level with Robert Whitaker. Lord-Z has a KWPN jumping index of 142 with 72% reliability. In 2002 Lord-Z met the radiograph and endoscopy requirements.
