Offspring report

Offspring 2000 (foals)
Neckar showed a uniform collection of sufficient to more than sufficiently developed foals. They are riding type and are in sufficient to more than sufficient rectangular model. The foals are butt high.
On the whole the head is expressive. The poll has sufficient length. The neck has sufficient length but is horizontal. The muscling of the neck is sufficient. The wither is well developed and long. The shoulder is generally more than sufficient in length and sufficient in slope. The back is more than sufficient in length and sometimes a little hollow. The muscling of the back is good. The loins are wide, well muscled and well connected. In a few cases the loins are tight. The croup should have more length. The croup is well muscled and has sufficient slope. The hamstring has sufficient length. The foreleg is generally correct. There are several cases of foals that are toed out in front. The hindleg varies from sickle-hocked to straight. In general the base is strong and exudes quality. The walk is pure and has sufficient scope. The trot has good scope. There is sufficient suppleness. The foals generally trot with good use of the foreleg and more than sufficient self-carriage. They jump easily into the canter. The canter has sufficient scope and balance.
No veterinary remarks.
The quality of the mares was good.
Shown: 15 foals out of 45 breedings.

Performance test report

Bloodtyping 1994
The laboratory that does the typing uncovered the fact that the stallion Alexis-Z could not be the son of Almé-Z. The bloodtyping of Alexis-Z received from Germany included only two markers, meaning new blood needed to be drawn. At that time it was concluded that, on the basis of three markers that are very typical for offspring of Almé-Z, Alexis-Z could not be his son. A second test confirmed this result (pub. 4/14/1994). At the date of this publication (5/11/1994) it not yet clear how this occurred. The Zangersheide stud, where Alexis-Z was born, has tried to prove on the basis of the available documentation that the fault was not made there. It has been investigated - and is still being investigated - if it is possible to determine the sire. Parentage can be determined through blood typing with 98% certainty. The stallion committee is of the opinion though that the blood typing will not give the final answer.
1998
selected at Den Bosch Stallion Show
Neckar is a stallion that jumps with scope, that has more than sufficient basic gaits and that finishes the jump very well behind. In this stallion Alexis is combined with one of the better dam lines from France. Both the dam and grandmother produced several good jumpers.
Performance 1998
Honest, reliable stallion. He is sufficiently willing to work and he works more than sufficiently. In the beginning Neckar was a little heavy; this improved greatly throughout the test. The walk is sufficient in scope but somewhat stiff. He has sufficient scope in the trot but the hindleg should be brought underneath more actively. The canter has sufficient power and scope. The croup remains high. He canters on the forehand both in the trot and in the canter. He has insufficient talent for dressage and gives his rider a moderate feeling. He has more than sufficient take-off for jumping. The wither should be higher in the jump. He folds the foreleg a little under the body. He shows sufficient bascule and opens the hindquarter sufficiently. He seems careful and shows a lot of scope. He has more than sufficient to much talent for jumping and gives his rider a good feeling.
Stall and handling behavior is normal.
The hooks on his teeth were rasped at the start of the test.
