The Holsteiner stallion Caretino was an international jumper himself, first with Bo Kristoffersen and later Ludger Beerbaum. Afterward Caretino made a name for himself as a multi-faceted sire with emphasis on jumping. Caretino, who is totally free of Ladykiller xx blood, is a son of the top sire Caletto II. Caletto II is known to be a superior sire by Cor de la Bryère, who was known for passing on an excellent canter and jumping manners. Internationally known offspring by Caletto II include Operetta la Silla (Jan Tops) and Classic Touch (Ludger Beerbaum/Ralf Schneider). Of the better sires from Holstein, Caretino is one that can pass on blood and quality himself. Besides that he is famous for his attitude, something that his dam"s sire Metellus surely contributed to. This grandson of Ramzes AA halfblood is on the books in Holstein as a stallion that passed on scope, leg technique and fighting spirit. Caretino"s line also produced the jumper stallion Caridor-Z (Jos Lansink).
Caretino offspring that have been noted for performance are: Ballerina (Mark Samuel), Caretano-Z (Jos Lansink), Chandra (Sören von Rönne) and Dega (Marley Goodman). In the meantime there are tens of Caretino sons approved by various studbooks.
