Offspring report

Offspring 1999 (foals)
The collection was sufficiently uniform. Some foals were barely sufficiently developed, others were more than sufficiently developed. The foals are in good rectangular model and have sufficient refinement. Some foals were a little short-legged. The head is generally well formed but sometimes a little long. Poll and neck both have good length. The neck is a little deep from the chest. The topline of the neck shows good rounding but the transition into the wither should sometimes be smoother. The shoulder has more than sufficient length but should generally have more slope. The back/loin formation is a little hollow but well muscled. The croup slopes and is a little round. The croup should be longer. The hamstring should be longer. The foreleg is generally correct. The hindleg is sometimes a little straight and long. The base has more than sufficient development. The walk is big but should have more power and suppleness. The foals show well in the trot, with front and the desired body carriage. The trot has sufficient to more than sufficient scope but should have more suppleness. The hindleg should generally go further underneath and the foreleg stays a little flat. The foreleg is also flat in the canter but the hindleg is brought underneath well and the foals have good balance and more than sufficient suppleness.
The mares had sufficient quality.
Shown: 18 foals out of 63 breedings.
