Offspring report

Offspring 1997
The offspring are well developed, well muscled and of good riding type. The head is expressive, in some cases a little convex between the eyes. Neck and poll have good length. The poll is well muscled and well carried. The wither and shoulder are good. The back and loin have good shape and muscling. The croup has good shape with sufficient length and good muscling. The foreleg is well placed with a well-developed knee. The cannon is a little fine at times. The hindleg varies in regard to build and stance; most often a little long with a small angle, but other times rather straight. The hock should be better developed and finished. The walk is correct, big and supple. The use of the hindleg varies during the trot. In some cases it is a little slow in coming underneath and sometimes it should carry better. Some yearlings trot with good use of the hindleg and show good rise in the forehand. The use of the hindleg also varies a little in the canter.
Offspring 1998
A uniform collection of very well developed foals. They are of good rectangular model. The head is well formed. The poll has good length. The neck is long and has good muscling. The wither is more than sufficiently developed. The shoulder has noticeable length and good placement. On the whole the back-loin connection has good form but sometimes it is a little weak. The loin is wide and well muscled. The well-muscled croup has more than adequate length, but it should have a little more slope. The hamstring has sufficient length. The foreleg has good length and is mostly correct. In a few cases the front feet are not even. The hindleg is generally correct but sometimes a bit long. The walk has good scope, but should be a little suppler. The trot has good scope with a great deal of freedom in the shoulder and good use of the foreleg. The hindleg should carry a little better. The foals stretch out a little. The foals have a big canter in which they should raise themselves more in the front. Two foals that were inspected at home fit into this picture.
The quality of the mares was good.
Shown 23 (+2) foals out of 135 breedings.

Performance test report

Performance 1997 (short test, 21 days)
He is an honest, reliable, steady stallion. Upon arrival at the test, the Oldenburger Welt Hit II, was already well schooled. He is more than sufficiently willing to work and is nice to ride. The walk is big and pure. The trot is good, even though the croup is carried a little high and the joints could be used more expressively. The canter is good, but could have more impulsion and expression. He works very well in dressage. He is a very talented dressage horse. He has little talent for jumping Stall behavior is normal.
