Offspring report
Offspring 1998
Gran Corrado showed a uniform collection of royally developed, long-legged foals in sufficient rectangular model. The head is well formed. The neck has sufficient length. The sufficiently muscled neck has good length and direction. The height of the wither is good, the length varies. Length and placement of the shoulder are sufficient. Back and loins are good of shape and are sufficiently muscled. The sufficiently sloping croup should be longer and the hamstring should also be longer. The foreleg has good length but is straight. The hindleg is often a little sickle-hocked. The base is sufficiently developed.
The foals should show more scope and suppleness in the walk. The foals carry their neck well and they have sufficient scope in the trot but they should carry themselves more. They carry themselves well in the canter. They canter with sufficient scope and push from behind.
One of the picked foals died before the inspection.
The quality of the mares was more than sufficient.
Shown: 13 foals out of 37 breedings.

Performance test report
Performance Ermelo 1997
Gran Corrado took part in the 97/98 stallion competition in Cat A jumping (1.10 m). He showed consistent performance. Results: 4th Giesbeek, 2nd Weert, 1st Saasveld, 2nd Zuidbroek and 11th Goes. The Oldenburg studbook approved him in 1997, and did his performance test in Neustadt. He finished in 26th place with a total index of 92.56 (dressage: 95.97, jumping: 88.99).
Gran Corrado shows moderate willingness to work, he must be made to do so. The walk and trot have moderate scope. The hind leg should be brought under the body more actively and he should have more suppleness. The canter is bigger and pushes off better, but he stays high in the croup.
Gran Corrado shows sufficient take-off while jumping; he holds his body a bit straight. He finishes the jump well from behind and seems to have a great deal of ability. Jumping is easy for him.
Stall behavior is normal.
