Offspring report
Offspring 1999 (foals)
A moderately uniform collection of foals. The development varied from barely to more than sufficient. The type also varied: from a little short-coupled and classic to more than sufficient riding type. The head is sufficiently formed but should have a little more expression. The poll has more than sufficient length; the neck should also be longer. The neck is more than sufficient to well muscled and is used well. The wither is more than sufficiently developed. The shoulder has good length but should sometimes have more slope. The back is good in general. The loins are wide and well muscled. The well-muscled croup has sufficient length. The placement varies from flat to sloping. The hamstring is more than sufficiently long. The foreleg is correct in general. The hindleg is usually a little straight. The base is generally well developed. The scope varies in the walk. The walk should have more suppleness. The foals trot with more than sufficient front, push from behind and technique of the foreleg. The hindleg should be placed under the body more. The foals canter with sufficient power but should have more suppleness and bend through the hock. The croup remains high.
Good mares accompanied the foals.
Two foals inspected at home fit in with the rest of the picture.
Shown: 11 (+2) foals out of 25 breedings.
