Offspring 1998
Weyden showed a uniform collection of foals that are in definite rectangular model. They are well developed and have good length in the foreleg. The head is a little long and should have even more expression. The poll has sufficient length. The neck is more than sufficient in length. It should be a little more muscled through the topline. The shoulder has good length but is a little straight. The back and loins are well formed and more than sufficiently muscled. The croup has sufficient length and muscling. The hamstring is sufficiently long. The foreleg is sometimes a bit straight and sometimes a little fine, although the knee is well developed. The hindleg varies, from long and somewhat angled to straight.
The walk is big. The foals trot with good balance and good self-carriage. Moreover they easily lengthen and shorten their stride. Some of the foals have little bend in the hindleg. The foreleg moves out well but the foals should lift the knee even more. The canter is big but should show more suppleness. One foal that was inspected at home fit in with the rest of the picture.
The mares were good.
