Pedigree information
The keur mare Lianne (s Ganges) is the dam of Torino. She competed in harness a number of times and completed a nice performance test. The basis of this mare line is formed by the ster preferent Keampla (s Gloriant). This is the mare line of multiple champion Silvester-S (s Navigator) who earned a total EUR 25,000 Euros. Through daughters by Marconi, Unitas and Uterp we come to the Ganges daughter Lianne.
Torino descends from Renovo through his sire Jonker and grandfather Ganges. The latter does not as yet have sons or grandsons that are serving the breeding program.
Lianne has produced 3 offspring (3 colts) of which on is a 2nd viewing stallion.
Performance
Torino is an honest, reliable stallion that tenses quickly, which is demonstrated by the way his ears move. He did improve during the last weeks in training. He is very willing to work and drives well.
The walk has sufficient scope but is moderate in power. The stallion has much self-carriage in front of the show cart. He elevates well in the forehand, carries his neck well and comes back in the front. Torino has much to very much action in the foreleg and he extends the foreleg forward much to very much. The use of the hindleg is more than sufficient. The stallion brings the hindleg underneath well but it should bend more. Torino has more than sufficient to much suspension. He goes with much enthusiasm. Torino has more than sufficient to much talent for harness work and gives his rider a very good feeling.
The stallion"s behavior in his stall and while being handled is normal.
There were no veterinary remarks.
