Offspring 2004 (foals)
Tango showed more than sufficiently developed foals. The foals are riding type.
The head is shaped well, sometimes a little long. The poll has good length. The neck is long. A few times a ewe neck was noted when foals were stood up. The wither is more than sufficiently developed. The shoulder has sufficient position and length. The back has sufficient length, in a few cases it is a little hollow. The loins are well muscled and well connected. The croup is shaped well and has good length. The hamstring is sufficiently long. The foreleg is long and sometimes a bit tight and straight. The foreleg is regularly toed out. The stance of the hindleg is regularly long and sickle-hocked. The base is well developed.
The walk is pure, has sufficient scope and sufficient suppleness. The foals move with much self-carriage and they are uphill in the trot. In a few cases the hindleg is cow-hocked in the trot. The Tango foals jump easily into the canter and have sufficient scope. The are also uphill in the canter
In short: A uniform group of riding type foals that are more than sufficiently developed. The foals are uphill in movement and show more than sufficient suppleness. A few foals are cow-hocked while moving.
Shown were 19 picked foals and four that were selected by the owner. One absent picked foals was evaluated earlier by a member of the stallion committee at a KWPN keuring. This foal fit in the picture of the report. The foals selected by the owner also fit in the picture of the report.
Because of thunder, the second part of the keuring was held indoors.
The quality of the mares was good on average.
