As of January 1, 2018, the KWPN recognizes all warmblood studbooks that are members of the WBFSH, with the exception of:

  • ANCCE (PRE)
  • ABPSL (Brazilian Lusitano)
  • APSL (Portuguese Lusitano)
  • KFPS (Friesian Horse Studbook)

 

Recognized studbooks for the harness horse breeding direction

To promote genetic diversity within harness horse breeding, studbooks may be recognized if their breeding objective closely matches that of the KWPN for harness horses. The following are recognized:

  • Dutch Hackney Studbook (large size)
  • Hackney Horse Society – England (large size)
  • American Saddlebred Horse Association – United States
